PRESS FOR GROOVEBUG

“Discover great new music or find out more about the music you already love with this visually attractive musical information aggregator”
-Gianna LaPin, 148Apps.com
“I suspect Groovebug will be a hit on iPad. Best of all, it and all of its features are free, so there ís absolutely no reason not to check it out.”
-Kathryn Swartz, Appolicious
“…it could become one of those rare apps like the magical-seeming song-identifying app Shazam that can make people envious enough to buy a gadget it will work on.”
-Miles Raymer, Chicago Reader
“…we found that Groovebug succeeded in letting us play our own music with a richer interface than the iPad otherwise provides, and introducing us to new music with handy learning tools, with a nice design that takes advantage of the iPadís big screen without making things too complicated.”
-Eliot Van Buskirk, Evolver FM
“…entrepreneurs in Evanston, Illinois are launching Groovebug, an app for iPad users looking for an interactive music magazine for the 21st century.”
-First Business News TV spot
“Groovebug is a bit like a Flipboard for music. It’s an iPad app that scans your music collection, then sucks in “rich content from the cloud” (i.e. websites) to serve up as a personalised iPad magazine. It uses APIs from Echo Nest and YouTube, and is free to download.”
“This is a must-have app for any musicophile with an iPad.”
Dan Lourenco, Guy.com
“I really like what I’ve seen of the app and mentioned that it made me much more interested in having an iPad.”
-Clyde Smith, Hypebot
“Groovebug is a must-have for those who like to keep a track of their favourite artists or for those who like to discover new music.”
-The Times of India
“…a beautiful app that lets you dive deeper into your own collection of music on the iPad and also discover new music along the way.”
-Patrick Jordan, iPadInsight.com
“If you think that Flipboard is pretty cool, then you’d be delighted to sample this new service.”
-RogerH, KillerStartups
“The idea behind the Groovebug app is pretty dope…”
-MagneticMag.com
“GrooveBug is almost worth it just to see these amazing graphics, but what ultimately makes it worth it is the great content, both in the new artists you can find in the eclectic genres, and the bios, pictures, and news of the artists you’re already listening to, but perhaps don’t know enough about. The best part of all is that it ís a free app, costing only your time in downloading.”
-Laura Tucker, MakeTechEasier.com
Groovebug launched in Apple’s iPad App Store on Sept. 8. At one point during its first few weeks, it was the third most downloaded music app in the United States, and as of September 28 it was No. 16. Groovebug was on the top 10 music apps list in 44 different countries for most of last week, and was the top music app overall in a handful of other countries.
“… the app actually makes owning an iPad compelling. Iím a little jealous now not having it on my Macbook Pro.”
-Mezzic.com
“For all the music lovers out there, it looks like there may finally be an application that solves the headache of searching high and low all over the World Wide Web for new artists, band schedules and the latest information on artists. The mother load is the new Groovebug application…”
-Jackiee Rippee, Sidelines
“…something that I really like is how Groovebug gives you access to curated music collections. These bolster its discovery potential to no end; they will let those who are short of time still have access to top music videos without even having to try that hard.”
-Emilio, MusicKO
“Groovebug’s free iPad app uses your digital music collection to create an iPad magazine tailored to your musical tastes (you can also key in an artist’s name to bring up similar results).”
Jeffrey Wilson, PCMag.com
“…there’s room for a media app like Groovebug to offer a solution that’s based around the user’s needs – rather than the artist.”
-Richard MacManus, ReadWriteWeb
“While material is readily available elsewhere online from sources like Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia and iTunes, the app cleanly aggregates all data in a single, easily-browsed location where it’s just a finger swipe or two away.”
-Scott Steinberg, Rolling Stone Culture
“Groovebug offers a unique flip through of all things related to an artist in simple swipes of the iPad eliminating the need to go search several sites or possibly missing information by skipping a crucial site.”
-Skopemag.com
“With Groovebug and Legitmix, interacting with your music takes on a whole new dimension.”
-Joshua Ferguson, Timeout Chicago
“Groovebug is a wonderful and interesting media music magazine to read on your iPad device.”
-TopAppReviews101.com
“Groovebug takes music discovery to a new level.”
-TuneCore Blog
“The app is fast and easy to use, and made it fun to flick through new artists and end up in a well of new music.”
Lee Jarvis, US Music-Jobs
